Early Morning Airport Rides from Westchester: What You Need to Know
Early morning flights are popular — less likely to be delayed, airports less crowded, and you arrive with the full day ahead. But a 6am JFK flight means leaving Westchester by 3:30-4:00am. Here is how to make it smooth.
What Time Should You Leave?
- 6am JFK from Yorktown Heights: Leave by 3:00am
- 6am LGA from White Plains: Leave by 3:30am
- 7am EWR from Scarsdale: Leave by 4:00am
- 6am HPN from anywhere in Westchester: Leave by 4:30am
Why Car Service Beats Uber at 3am
At 3am, Uber driver availability in Westchester is very limited. You might wait 20-30 minutes — or have your driver cancel. With Ernie’s and Yorktown, your driver is confirmed the night before. We call you 15 minutes before arrival and are there when we say we will be.
The Surge Pricing Problem at 3am
When Uber driver supply is low at 3am, surge pricing kicks in hard — often 2-3x the normal rate. Our flat-rate car service quotes you a price the day before and it never changes, regardless of time.
