Getting from Westchester to JFK: Your Options
If you live in Westchester County and need to get to John F. Kennedy International Airport, you have several options. In this guide, we break down every option so you can make the best choice for your next trip.
Option 1: Professional Car Service (Recommended)
Booking a flat-rate car service like Ernie’s And Yorktown Car Service is the most reliable and stress-free way to get to JFK from Westchester. Here’s why thousands of Westchester residents choose us:
- Door-to-door pickup from your home or office
- Flat rates quoted upfront — no surge pricing
- Flight tracking included
- Professional, licensed drivers
- Available 24/7, even on holidays
Option 2: Metro-North + AirTrain
You can take Metro-North from Westchester to Jamaica Station in Queens, then connect to the AirTrain to JFK. This option works but can take 90+ minutes from northern Westchester and is difficult with heavy luggage.
Option 3: Driving and Parking
Airport parking adds up quickly over a week-long trip.
Option 4: Rideshare Apps
Uber and Lyft charge surge pricing during peak hours, which can make them significantly more expensive than a professional car service with flat rates.
